Before my vision
The fire and smoke of burning
Arose and died again.
To bamboo fields there is no more returning,
Why seek there in vain?

Brenda–do you find a quote first and then match a picture? Or vice versa? They are perfect every time. This photo is so lovely.
Lois sometimes things I’ve read are like photo assignments that are tucked away in my back pocket and then there are photographs that motivate me to find a specific haiku or to search through the books I have. Once in awhile I will stumble upon a particular artist’s words that resonate with me that I like to share.
