As I walk about the campus at Colorado State University…my memories take me back to those days of hope…of expectation…of dreams…of a Future yet to be. Today, a journey through past days.

The Commons at CSU
Pianos About Town is a community collaborative effort that brings art and spontaneous music to a community. Donated pianos are transformed into whimsical painted pieces of art which are then placed in various outdoor locations about town…this form of interactive public art invites the creation of music as well as opportunities for photographers.

The Seers Band is composed of a blind and sighted duo who filled the summer air in Old Town with their blend of rock, soul, and blue music during Fort Collins’ Noontime Notes Concert Series.

The Annual Flower Trial Garden at Colorado State University was established to allow students, researchers, industry representatives, homeowners and extension personnel to learn, teach, and evaluate through horticultural research and demonstration projects conducted in the unique environmental conditions of the Rocky Mountain/High Plans region.
So…officially it isn’t about beauty
Oak Street Plaza Park is a hardscape, cobblestone area with cafe tables and chairs where people are invited to enjoy a break from shopping and chat with their friends.
In the summer, children (as well as a dog or two) are fascinated with the water as it jumps from the sculpted “rocks’ or sprits in the air from the cobblestone.
Let me introduce you to my favorite part of Fort Collins, Colorado known by all as Old Town through a selection of doorways in and around the square.
