sl-week 4: weird hollidays

If I was on holiday…it would be a walking tour of Japan and one of the places on my list to visit is the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove in Kyoto. But, alas, I’m not on holiday…but one of the bike/walking pathways near my home offered a (somewhat) miniature bamboo grove….sorta weird, but beautiful.

monochrome madness: 2:21

Far away,

In a cleft between the crags

To be alone,

Careless of others’ eyes,

Sunk in thought-if only…

Monochrome Madness: 2-20

Alongside the path

Fresh water flows, and

In the willow’s shade

Just for a little while

Would I take my ease…

flower trial garden

The Annual Flower Trial Garden at Colorado State University was established to allow students, researchers, industry representatives, homeowners and extension personnel to learn, teach, and evaluate through horticultural research and demonstration projects conducted in the unique environmental conditions of the Rocky Mountain/High Plans region.

So…officially it isn’t about beauty
