Stay at Home Order … day 25 plus 14 seclusion retreat days
O for a friend–that we might see and listen together!
O the beautiful dawn in the mountain village!–
The repeated sound of cuckoos near and far away.

The pale morning moon was setting
When I turned away from the shut door.

The pale morning moon* … camping with my family in the “Snowies”
This week Ann-Christine invites us to look at our morning – or Any morning -maybe there is a special morning that we will never forget.
*The waning moon is called the morning moon because it can be seen after dawn
All right nice but the pale morning moon really does it for me.
The visual gifts one receives while camping…amazing.
Isn’t that one of the main reasons why one goes camping?😉
I beautiful nod to mornings serenity Brenda. Nicely done.
Thank you, Tina. It is so very difficult to not bring a camera or pull it out when doing walking meditation.
Ah the beauty and the harmony, the silence and the contemplation. And I learned something new: *The waning moon is called the morning moon because it can be seen after dawn
Thanks Leya….oh the treasures we’ll find within the footnotes.
Always read the footnotes…
Wonderful shots and the poems Brenda.
It is always great reading your comments, thank you.
Beautiful! The first poem is my favorite.
I recently read a footnote that noted that “cuckoos” were a symbol of memories…adds a emotional depth to this writing. Please be safe.
Love the blue sky in the first shot!
Thank you. It seems as though the spring blues are a bit more brilliant this year
